Seibal
Maya and non-Maya elements are found at Seibal, a late Classic site in Guatemala, which
had a brief flowering at a time when the rest of the Classic Maya world was dying. Since
this set was photographed, much of it has been looted; this may thus be one of the few
available photographic records of an important transitional site. By John Montgomery.
