Poverty Point

Solid clay figures are infrequent but a distinct trait in Poverty Point culture. They are female figures, depicted in seated position, with rounded off thighs and no separate arms or legs, but often with distinct facial features formed by finger modeling and punctuations. Typically, they are 3 to 6 cm in height. Poverty Point Museum.
